One girl at a time, Girls on the Run has changed 1 million girls' lives. One girl at a time, we're going to change 1 million more.
At Girls on the Run, we envision a world where all girls know their limitless potential. And more than that, we are working to make that vision a reality—one where girls can navigate their lives with confidence and joy. Watch our One in a Million video to see a glimpse of what a million girls (and counting!) have learned or are learning.
At its heart, Girls on the Run is about empowering girls to be their best and reach their goals. Please help us reach our goal of serving 2 million girls by 2020 and join us in celebrating this milestone! Whether you choose to invest your time or money, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of girls. You can help us change the world.
Here are a few ways you can get involved in our One in a Million celebration:
1. Show Your Support on Social Media
We are sharing the stories of girls, volunteers and supporters who have been inspired to be joyful, happy and confident through Girls on the Run. Post your One in a Million moment or your thoughts about why you love Girls on the Run on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #M1LLION and see it live on the girlsontherun.org homepage takeover.
Girls on the Run has also created a Facebook cover photo for supporters to download and use to let the world know that you are uniquely one in a million!
2. Current GOTR Participants - Enter the "What Makes You One in a Million?" Contest
Current Girls on the Run participants can complete the official entry form by writing and/or drawing their answer to the question “What makes you One in a Million?” Every girl who submits an entry will receive a One in a Million campaign sticker and a thank you letter. Three winners will be announced in June, each receiving $250, and the council the girl is from will receive $250 as well!
3. Invest your time or money to help us reach our goal of serving 2 million girls by 2020.
Girls on the Run has been able to serve 1 million girls because of inspirational volunteers and supporters like you! Whether you have a couple hours per day or per year, please consider getting involved as a SoleMate, coach or volunteer. Please also consider making a financial contribution to support your local Girls on the Run council. Every dollar will help serve more girls in your community!
